The stunning Mahinepua Bay is an 8 minute walk & fantastic for swimming, otherwise there are a host of other beautiful beaches within 10 minutes drive such as Tauranga Bay, Te Ngaere, Wainui, and Matauri Bay.

There is a great choice of coastal walks nearby and plenty of sightseeing within an easy drive:

• Make a day trip to the Kerikeri, Stone Store historic area, local wineries, Kauri forest walks, & a thriving Saturday market, the Old Packhouse
• Visit more of the Bay of Islands- Waitangi, Paihia & Kororareka – Russell (NZs first capital), with plenty of tours from Paihia, Dolphin discoveries, Hole-in-the-rock, Parasailing, fishing charters
• Visit Doubtless Bay & Mangonui or make it all the way up to Cape Reinga!
• Surfers will enjoy Taupo Bay (a 30 minute drive).
• Mountain bike Waitangi Forest

Kauri Cliffs Golf Course

We are ideally situated for a visit to the renowned Kauri Cliffs golf course for a challenging round of golf or two.

Kauri Cliffs is located a scenic 15 minutes drive from Crab Cove so you can plan a days of golf along with the ocean side relaxation of Crab Cove as the perfect golfers retreat.

Other golf courses within an hours drive from Crab Cove are in Kerikeri at the Bay of Islands golf club or north on the Karikari Peninsula at Carrington Resort.
